What awaits you in this role?
We are looking for a passionate Associate – Import Logistics who will join our team at Supply Chain Directorate in Beko Corporate.
- Follow up on Import Logistics & Customs Operations Group Management’s improvement areas, analysing trends, expenses, seasonality, anomalies,
- Maximizing operational efficiency, optimizing the systems, designing automatic reports, leading of decision support systems,
- Report design with system data and creation of new measuring systems,
- Support / create for an advanced Import Logistics budgeting system and business development projects,
- Follow up on Global Supply Chain systems and reporting,
- Provide traceability of all reports in the Qlik system,
- Plan import logistics and customs activities in order to ensure timely delivery of material and products,
- Implement import opportunities in the areas of logistics by following developments for the objective of the company,
- Ensure the timely flow of information to production planning teams about shipments and customs operations,
- Experience in making multi-modal shipments, in-depth knowledge of Incoterms and governmental regulations covering import customs regulations,
- Monitor, analyze, and publish performance metrics of suppliers and forwarders,
- Deal with international logistics, managing import documentation, letters of credit, inbound customs operations,
- Conduct relations with transporters and customs brokers on expected and achieved service levels,
- Provide new methods for cost reductions,
- Participate in projects and procedures to reduce transportation costs and improve overseas on-time delivery performance,
- Analyze alternate transportation solutions to provide a cost-effective transportation model,
- Make remarkable supply chain projects in order to ease all working processes,
- Contribute to supply chain logistics cost optimization to enable the best landed costs.
The position is located in Çayırova, İstanbul.
How do we describe the perfect match?
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Management Information Systems or related fields,
- Preferably, knowledge of decision support systems or similar systems,
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs, SAP knowledge is an asset.
- Excellent verbal and written skills in English,
- Thinking broadly about business,
- Understanding needs of the market & customer,
- Having the desire to do outstanding jobs,
