What awaits you in this role?

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor daily payments and follow up with customers for outstanding payments and remittances.
• Reconcile customer remittances against SAP open items and allocate payments accurately.
• Investigate and resolve deductions, rebates, discounts, claims and credit notes.
• Perform customer account reconciliations and follow up on overdue and outstanding invoices.
• Manage customer claims relating to shortages, pricing, returns, Bill Backs, Price Support and Trade Agreements.
• Obtain and verify supporting documentation such as PODs, invoices and return documentation.
• Prepare, send and upload customer statements and maintain records of submissions.
• Update cash-flow forecasts, including late deliveries and extended payment terms.
• Send invoices, credit notes, PODs and other account documentation to customers.
• Respond to customer queries and liaise with branches, managers and internal departments to resolve account issues.
• Maintain accurate SAP records, reconciliations, reason codes and supporting documentation.
• Follow up on aged queries and outstanding balances to ensure timely resolution and collection.
• Assist the Debtors team with account investigations and customer queries.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma in Financial accounting / Bookkeeping is essential.
• 3 to 5 years’ experience in Credit control and accounts receivable.
• Strong reconciliation and numerical skills.
• Good Excel and SAP knowledge.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Good organizational and time-management abilities.
• Proactive approach to collections and problem-solving.
